Goodbye to 2013!

Happy New Year's Eve!

I have been planning today what greeting cards that I will blog in the next few weeks and I have decided that since one of my main goals for 2014 is wellness, I will begin the new year with Get Well cards. 

Today I want to share two cards. The first is a sweet little card from Gibson Greeting Cards. I fell in love with it when I saw it.

       

I chose the 2nd card because yesterday was grooming day at the "spa" for our dog, and this one called Cuttin' it Short reminded me of that. 

The next time I post, it'll be 2014, and I'll be focused on wellness. Make sure you check back in!

You've Got Mail

Greetings friends!

Sending letters and cards in the mail has become almost a lost art. I enjoy making and mailing greeting cards and I do still write a letter, every now and then. When my family and I started antiquing each month, I was instantly drawn to vintage children's greeting cards. Then, I started noticing vintage valentines and mechanical greeting cards (and more!) and my collection grew even bigger. I don't want to keep the cards all to myself, so I decided to share them online. By collecting these cards and showcasing them on this blog, I will be able to keep this almost lost art alive, at least on the web. I hope others who enjoy getting a bit nostalgic will enjoy taking a walk down memory lane with me.
